Itanagar, March 19 -- Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the longest-serving Deputy Chief Minister in India.
Mein, 74, assumed office as Deputy Chief Minister on July 17, 2016, and has retained the position since, completing 8 years and 244 days in the post, marking a record-breaking tenure defined by his commitment to the development of the state.
Extending his heartfelt congratulations to Mein, Chief Minister Pema Khandu in a social media post said: "Your steadfast dedication and humble leadership have shaped Arunachal's growth journey.
