Itanagar, July 10 -- Prasenjit Deb, a senior officer from the Department of Food and Public Distribution (DFPD), paid a three-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh's lone 'aspirational' district, Namsai, from July 8 to 10 to assess the implementation of various DFPD schemes and review the functioning of the Public Distribution System (PDS) in the district.
Accompanied by officials from the Food Corporation of India (FCI) and the Department of Food and Civil Supplies, including the District Food and Civil Supplies Officer (DFSCO), Deb inspected multiple Fair Price Shops (FPS) and FCI depots across the district.
