Itanagar, Dec. 11 -- Arunachal Pradesh Lokayukta Chairperson Justice (Retd) PK Deka on Wednesday underscored the need for stronger collaboration among all stakeholders to advance and safeguard human rights.
He was speaking at a day-long awareness programme organised by the Arunachal Pradesh State Human Rights Commission (APSHRC) to commemorate the 77th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) at the DK Auditorium of the State Legislative Assembly in Itanagar.
Addressing the gathering, Justice Deka said the UDHR remains a guiding framework for democratic societies, and its values must be upheld through coordinated efforts by government agencies, civil society organisations, institutions, and citizens.
