Itanagar, Dec. 17 -- In a significant crackdown on drug peddling, Arunachal Pradesh's Nirjuli Police seized 2 kg of suspected cannabis and arrested a woman during a raid conducted at P-Sector, Nirjuli, near the Poultry Farm.

According to police sources, the action followed reliable input received by Nirjuli Police Station regarding the sale and storage of ganja in the area. Acting promptly on the information, a police team, led by Inspector Tadu Hassang, Officer-in-Charge of Nirjuli Police Station, along with ASI D C Namsa, constables Hano Pai, Bishal Newar, T Tanjang, Tamin Rai and lady constable L Wangmu, conducted a raid last evening at around 7 pm.
