Hyderabad, March 1 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Sunday said that arts represent the very soul of Telangana and asserted that the state government is according top priority to the promotion of arts and culture.

Participating in the Ramadasu Jayanthi celebrations, held grandly at the LB Indoor Stadium here, the Deputy Chief Minister described Bhadrachala Ramadasu as a great composer and a pride of Telangana.

He recalled that Gopanna, born in Nelakondapalli, attained eternal fame as Bhakta Ramadasu through his devotion and soulful compositions, adding that the Bhadrachalam temple and his keertanas continue to live in the hearts of Telugu people.
