Itanagar, April 19 -- Around 9 per cent of 8.9 crore Arunachal Pradesh voters cast their votes in the first two hours till 9 am in simultaneous elections being held in the state for choosing the 18th Lok Sabha and the 11th State Legislative Assembly, a senior election official said.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju is in the fray, seeking re-election from the Arunachal West parliamentary seat.

A total of 133 candidates are in the fray for 50 Assembly seats and 14 contestants for the two Lok Sabha seats.

Former Congress chief minister Nabam Tuki, who left his traditional bastion Sagalee for BJP's Ratu Techi to get elected unopposed, is trying his fortune in the parliamentary polls, contesting against Rijiju for the second successive time.
