Hardoi (UP), Nov. 21 -- Around 25 students were today taken ill after a strong odour of an unknown gas spread through a private public school in Sandila town of this district in Uttar Pradesh, causing children to cough and vomit, sources said here.
Sources said that upon receiving the information, parents, police and Health department officials rushed to the scene.
"Sixteen children were admitted to various private hospitals in stable condition, while one girl was referred to Lucknow in critical condition," they said.
Sources said that the administration and police are investigating the cause of the incident.
