Ayodhya (UP), Feb. 5 -- Around 13 per cent out of more than 3.70 lakh votes were polled for Milkipur assembly polls in Ayodhya till 9 am amidst tight security arrangements on Wednesday, official sources said here.
According to the Chief Electoral Officer's office polling which started at 7 am will continue till 6 pm.
Sources said that polling is going on peacefully and no untoward incident has been reported from anywhere. They said that an average of 13.34 per cent voting had taken place till 9 am.
Inspector General of Police Praveen Kumar said that voting is going on peacefully at all polling stations and no untoward incident has been reported from anywhere. Paramilitary forces have been deployed at sensitive polling stations.
