Shimla, Oct. 1 -- The Army training command (ARTREC) observed its raising day today. The Army training command (ARTREC) was established on 1 October 1991 at Mhow with the objective of creating a central agency focused on training and modern warfare.
Since moving to Shimla on 31 March 1993, its role has expanded significantly. Now, ARTRAC provides continuous guidance for the highest standards of institutional training at 34 Category A training establishments across the country.
Other important roles include providing doctrinal support to the Indian Army and bringing a competitive perspective to operational planning.
