Imphal, Oct. 28 -- Manipur Police recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from Khongjom Langathel Hangoipat hill area under Khongjom Police Station in Thoubal district.
During the operation, the police team recovered one 7.62 SLR rifle, one .303 rifle, one pump action shotgun, one 36 HE hand grenade, 347 rounds of ammunition of various calibres, 17 double-barrel gun cartridges, four magazines of different firearms, eight charger clips, and three magazine pouches.
It was recovered yesterday. The recovered items were safely seized and brought to the police station for further verification and necessary legal proceedings.
