Imphal, Feb. 14 -- Security forces and Manipur Police carried out a series of coordinated operations across multiple districts on Friday, leading to the recovery of arms and explosives, arrest of militant cadres, seizure of contraband liquor, recovery of a stolen vehicle, and destruction of illegal poppy cultivation, police said on Saturday.
In Tengnoupal district, security forces recovered a cache of arms and explosives from the Khulsaibung hill range under the Machi Police Station. The items seized included one single-barreled gun, two pistols with magazines, eight Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), 41 rounds of ammunition of different calibers, and two Baofeng radios.
