Chandigarh, April 2 -- Unidentified armed assailants targeted the vehicle of a Sarpanch affiliated with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Jandiala Guru area of Amritsar.
The incident occurred on Verowal Road when the Sarpanch, identified as Sukhdev Singh of village Timowal, was returning from the block office after completing official work. Singh was accompanied by his wife, Ravinder Kaur, and three others when their car was intercepted by seven attackers mounted on four motorcycles.
