Moscow, Aug. 13 -- The second commercial launch of the European carrier rocket Ariane 6 has been successfully carried out from the Kourou spaceport in French Guiana, the project's operator Arianespace said.
"Ariane6 has launched on its second commercial mission, flight VA264," Arianespace said on X.
The launch took place at 00:37 GMT today.
Arianespace specified that the carrier rocket's payload includes Metop-SGA1, a weather satellite of the EUMETSAT (European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites).
