Buenos Aires, Nov. 17 -- Ayrton Costa and Edinson Cavani scored second-half goals as Boca Juniors secured a 2-0 home win over Tigre on final day of the Argentine Primera Division's Clausura regular season.

Costa broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute at La Bombonera, meeting Leandro Paredes' corner at the near post with a glancing header into the far corner on Sunday.

Cavani, a 75th-minute substitute for Ander Herrera, doubled the lead with a stoppage-time penalty after Tomas Cardona handled the ball in the area.

The result meant Boca finished four points clear at the top of Group A with 29 points, seven clear of seventh-placed Tigre.
