Imphal, Nov. 13 -- Assam Rifles today observed a solemn day of remembrance across Manipur, paying tributes to six of its valiant soldiers who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
Wreath-laying ceremonies were conducted at battalion headquarters in Khuga and Tengnoupal district to honour the supreme sacrifices made by these bravehearts, whose courage and devotion continue to inspire generations.
At Khuga, the ceremony marked the martyrdom anniversary of Col (late) Viplav Tripathi, Commanding Officer of 46 Assam Rifles, along with Rifleman Suman Swargiary, Rifleman RP Meena, Rifleman NK Konyak and Rifleman Shyamal Das.
