Chennai, Sept. 4 -- In a major breakthrough in the treatment of Severe Aortic Stenosis,Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, today performed the country's first implantation of the EdwardsSAPIEN 3 Ultra RESILIA transcatheter aortic valve (TAVI) on a 70-year-old patient.
This next-generation valve is designed to last longer and reduce the need for repeatprocedures, transforming outcomes for patients suffering from severe aortic stenosis.
