Hyderabad, Feb. 21 -- Apollo Cancer Centre (ACC), Hyderabad, on Friday said it has introduced a groundbreaking advancement in thyroid care by expanding its noninvasive thermal ablation procedures for the treatment of benign and selected malignant thyroid nodules.

Thyroid nodules, which are small lumps in the thyroid gland, are a common condition affecting 4-7 percent of the population. While the majority-about 95 percent-are benign, a small percentage (4-6.5 percent) can be cancerous.
