Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh), April 16 -- Sanitation workers owing allegiance to AITUC affiliate AP Municipal workers union staged a dharna in front of the Municipal office here on Wednesday demanding extension of retirement benefits for APCOS (AP Corporation for outsourcing workers) .
They raised slogans demanding to raise the retirement age to 62 years, besides extending retirement benefits and providing employment to their families.
AITUC district general secretary Thokala Prasad while addressing the demonstrators as the chief guest has alleged that the alliance government was adopting an unfair attitude towards municipal workers.
