AP: Two senior Maoists surrender before AP DGP

Vijayawada, July 26 -- Two senior Maoists surrendered before Director General of police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta here today.

DGP told the media that two Maoists Jorige Nagaraju @ Kamalesh, State Zonal Committee Member (SZCM) & In-charge of East Bastar Divisional Committee (DVC), along with his wife Medaka Jyoteeswari @ Aruna, Divisional Committee Member (DVCM) & In-charge of Mobile Academic Political Organization School (MAPOS), East Bastar surrendered before GPP Harish Kumar Gupta.

Jorige Nagaraju was native of Poranki village, Penamaluru Mandal, Krishna District. He went underground in the Maoist party and worked for about 34 years.
