Rayachoti, Aug. 21 -- In a tragic incident, three students, studying MBA, were drowned in the Cheyyeru stream at Balaraju Palli village of Rajampet mandal in Annamayya district on Thursday.
Police said that a group of eight students, studying MBA second year at Annamacharya College, went to the Balarajupalli village for a recreational outing. Three students entered the stream for a bath, slipped and drowned.
The deceased were identified as Sombattina Dilip Manikumar (22) belonged to Rajampet, Kottur Chandrasekhar Reddy (22)belonged to Vontimitta and Pennarothu Keshav (22) belonged to Porumamilla. The three bodies were fished out of the stream. Police said that the Cheyyeru stream was in spate with heavy inflow during the heavy rains.
