Vijayawada, March 6 -- Andhra Pradesh government has intensified its preparations for the upcoming Swachh Survekshan, with Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Suresh Kumar calling upon Urban Local Bodies across the state to work in mission mode and significantly improve sanitation performance.

Addressing Municipal Commissioners and senior officials during a state-level workshop here on Friday on Swachh Survekshan, he emphasised that the state must strive to secure a majority of the national awards, in line with the directions of the Chief Minister.
