Vijayawada, Aug. 19 -- The Andhra Pradesh Government has released Rs 1 crore for each of the 16 rain and flood-affected districts to carry out relief operations.
AP disaster Management Authority Special Chief Secretary G Jayalakshmi said 16 districts were affected by floods and rains and each of the districts was being extended Rs 1 crore to carry out relief operations immediately.
The SDRF teams have been kept ready at Avanigadda in NTR district, Chintoor in ASR district and Amalapuram in Konaseema district to be deployed. The district collectors were directed to utilise the funds to provide drinking water, milk and food to the people who were shifted to the relief camps.
