Kakinada, June 18 -- Udipi Sirur Mutt Chief Sri Veda Vardhan Teertha swamiji has called upon the people to save Hindu Dharma through protecting the Vedas.

During his first visit to the Sri Satyadeva Mandir in Godarigunta area here on Wednesday, Swamiji told the disciples that by protecting the Vedas the Hindu dharma could be saved and the ancient tradition and culture and their values could be passed on to the future generations. Swamiji said he is going to organise a special programme at the Udipi shrine for four years for protection of Vedas under the slogan `Veda Akhilam Dharma Moolam'.
