Kakinada, Feb. 10 -- The Koranga police under the supervision of Kakinada SDPO Manish Devaraj Patil swooped on a cockfight den in G Vemavaram village 25 km from here on Monday and arrested 119 people under the gambling Act.
Police also seized 112 fighting cocks, Rs.9.87 lakhs in cash, five cars, and 21 motorcycles from their possession.
The SDPO said all 119 gamblers would be produced before the court along with the cash, cocks, and vehicles.
Meanwhile, under the instructions of the SP Garikipati Bindu Madhav police conducted raids on the cock fight dens and rounded up the gamblers.
