Kakinada, July 27 -- The Gandepalli police, on a tip off from the SP Bindu Madhav, intercepted a lorry on the village outskirts on Sunday and found four cows and 12 oxen being clandestinely transported.
The lorry driver and his assistant reportedly confessed that they were being transported from Tuni to Chilakaluripeta for slaughtering.
Gandepalli police station Sub inspector Sivanagababu arrested both of them and seized the lorry.
The cattle were handed over to Gosala for feeding .
A case was registered and further investigation is on, police added.
