Rajahmundry, Jan. 24 -- The police destroyed over 12,570 KGs of ganja, which was seized during raids, on Saturday.
East Godavari district Superintendent of police D Narasimha Kishore here on Saturday told the media that the 12,570 kilo ganja seized in 201 cases in 23 police station limits during the last four years, was destroyed at the jindal Urban Waste Management centre, located in Bheemili in Visakhapatnam district.
The ganja was destroyed at the direction of the district drug disposal committee, following the due procedure. District disposal committee chairman and SP, D Narasimha Kishore and Additional SP and DSP (North Zone) approved to destroy the seized ganja.
