Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh), Jan. 7 -- Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) on Wednesday reported significant progress in 'blowout control operations at Well Mori#5', with a sharp reduction in fire intensity, noise levels, and ambient heat around the site.
On January 5, the blowout occurred at the natural gas well (ONGC-Rajahmundry Asset) on the outskirts of Irusumanda village in Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Konaseema district of Andhra Pradesh.
In a release, the ONGC said the Crisis Management Team is carrying out operations strictly in line with the approved blowout control plan at the well, which is operated by PEC contractor M/s Deep Industries.
