Vijayawada, Dec. 2 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday directed the officials of Medical and Health department to bring awareness among people on the Scrub Typhus disease.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting at the Secretariat in Amaravati, near here, along with Principal secretary of Medical and Health Saurabh Gaur.
Expressing concern over the death of a woman Chandaka Rajeswari of Vizianagaram district who was afflicted with the disease, the Chief Minister directed the officials to ensure that such incidents do not ever recur in other parts of the state.
The officials informed the Chief Minister that the woman Rajeswari contracted the Scrub Typhus disease through the bite of infected chigger mites. At f...
