Paderu, Nov. 18 -- Most-wanted Maoist leader and central committee member Madvi Hidma was among six Maoists killed in a fierce encounter that took place at Maredumilli village in ASR district on Tuesday, police said.
A large contingent of Greyhound police personnel conducted a combing operation in the densely forested area, triggering a violent exchange of fire between the security forces and the Maoists, police said.
Police confirmed that the most wanted Maoist and Central Committee member, Madvi Hidma, who carried a reward of Rs 1 crore, was among the six Maoists killed in the encounter. Rajakka, wife of Hidma, was also among the six killed, police said.
