Visakhapatnam, Jan. 9 -- Vijaya Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways (MoPSW), on Friday praised the Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) for effectively overcoming challenges and sustaining strong performance amid stiff competition.
During his visit to the port, Vijaya Kumar reviewed its performance and ongoing developmental initiatives.
A comprehensive review meeting was held to assess PPP berths, cargo handling operations, financial performance, road and rail connectivity, PM Gati Shakti projects, modernization and mechanization of berths, flyover development, modernization of the Fishing Harbour, and Green Port initiatives.
