Vijayawada, Nov. 16 -- The Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department is adopting a methodical approach to tackle the stray dog menace in all urban local bodies (ULBs) in AP, with intense focus on animal birth control (ABC) and anti-rabies vaccination (ARV).
MAUD Department Principal Secretary S Suresh Kumar and Director of Municipal Administration P Sampath Kumar issued a set of directives to all municipal commissioners for strict compliance in accordance with the Animal Birth Control (ABC) Rules, 2023 and the Supreme Court orders of November 7, 2025.
