Vijayawada, Sept. 28 -- The Krishna and Godavari rivers are in spate in Andhra Pradesh with heavy inflows and a second warning was issued at Prakasam barrage here on Sunday and two persons washed away in the flood water of Godavari at Rajahmundry.
Official sources said that the river Krishna is receiving 6.05 lakh cusecs of water. The 69 crest gates of Prakasam barrage were lifted to discharge the flood water downstream into the sea. Warning signal two was issued at Prakasam barrage and people living downstream were warned of inundation. The officials set up control rooms at Kolluru and Bhattiprolu to provide information on the flood situation.
