Vijayawada, March 5 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Agriculture K Atchannaidu on Thursday reiterated that the government is protecting the farmers who suffer crop loss during calamities.
Speaking in the Legislative Assembly here, the Minister explained that the government provides input subsidies to the farmers who suffer crop loss due to natural calamities. The officials visited the affected agricultural fields, enumerated the crop loss and prepared the report within one week, he said, adding that the government is committed to assisting the affected farmers at the earliest.
