Vijayawada, Sept. 26 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Social Welfare Dola Bala Veerajaneya Swamy today asserted that facilities are being provided to the social welfare hostels by spending Rs 143 crore.

Replying to a question in the Legislative Assembly at Amaravati near here, he said that revolutionary changes were being brought in the social welfare hostels by providing many facilities for which Rs 143 crore is being spent. The Minister also revealed that new welfare hostels are being constructed across the state at a cost of Rs 104 crore.

"Proposals have been sent to the Central government for the construction of a girls' College hostel in Pendurthi, near Visakhapatnam, at a cost of Rs 3 crore," he announced, adding that the girls' hoste...
