Tirupati, June 10 -- YSRCP leader and former Minister RK Roja criticised Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for orchestrating a conspiracy to silence Sakshi media through targeted attacks and the wrongful arrest of journalist Kommineni Srinivasa Rao on fabricated charges.
"The TDP, backed by Ministers Nara Lokesh, Pawan Kalyan, and Sharmila's remarks, is stifling press freedom to hide its failures," Roja declared in a fiery press meet, condemning the government's assault on dissent.
Ms.Roja slammed the TDP's "Red Book" governance for shielding perpetrators while crimes against women soar, citing the rape and murder of a minor in Nagari and the gang rape of a 14-year-old SC girl in Raptadu.
