Vijayawada, Nov. 4 -- Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan directed officials to construct roads in rural areas utilizing the Rs 2,000 crore extended by the Centre under the Special Assistance to State for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme.
Pawan Kalyan, who also holds the Minister for Panchayat Raj & Rural Development portfolio, held a meeting with panchayat raj and engineering officials in his camp office at Mangalagiri near here on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he told the officials to give priority to reconstruct the damaged Panchayat Raj roads at the rural areas using the SASCI funds.
