Vijayawada, Oct. 23 -- Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan today directed Panchayat Raj officials to take steps to open the Divisional Level Development Officers' (DLDO) offices across the State, setting a deadline of November 1.

The Deputy Chief Minister, who held a review meeting with officials, stated that administrative reforms are being implemented to bolster local bodies and ensure people receive benefits.

Kalyan noted that the abolition of the cluster system, which made 13,351 gram panchayats independent units, was aimed at providing better services to villagers.
