Vijayawada, Oct. 1 -- Officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 1,300 kg of ganja worth Rs 2.6 crore today.

The cannabis was found hidden in a secret cavity of a truck intercepted at Ramavarappadu Ring Road in the city. The truck was transporting the ganja from Sukma in Chhattisgarh to Salem in Tamil Nadu.

Three peddlers, including the mastermind from Tamil Nadu, were arrested under the NDPS Act, 1985. The mastermind was apprehended near Salem after admitting to orchestrating the smuggling conspiracy.
