Vijayawada, Oct. 3 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu today directed officials to expedite the Polavaram major irrigation project works and ensure they are completed before the 2027 Godavari Pushkarams.
The major irrigation project is being constructed across the River Godavari at Polavaram village in the Eluru district.
Reviewing the project's progress at the Secretariat today, the Chief Minister instructed officials to secure necessary clearances from the Central Water Commission and the union Water Resources Department. He emphasised that there must be no compromise on the quality of work.
