Vijayawada, Nov. 26 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two officials of the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Vijayawada for accepting a bribe of Rs.50,000 from the complainant, an official release stated on Wednesday.
The CBI registered the case on November 25, against a Revenue Recovery Officer (RRO) and Social Security Officer (SSO).
In 2020, the complainant said he had started a Proprietorship Firm to submit FCI tender bids. He registered the said firm withESI Corporation. Due to technical reasons, his firm was debarred by FCI for 3 years and hence he could not carry out any contracts.
