Bhogapuram (Andhra Pradesh), Jan. 4 -- The upcoming GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport marked a major step towards operational readiness with the successful conduct of a validation flight on Sunday.
The airport is being developed by GMR Aero-led GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of GMR Airports Limited.
The validation flight, operated by Air India, was carried out in the presence of union Minister for Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Airports Authority of India, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, and the GMR Group.
