Vijayawada, June 5 -- The Andhra Pradesh Government has aimed to plant 5.58 crore saplings in the year.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that Andhra Pradesh has 37,421 sq. km of forest area, which is 23 per cent of the total state area.
The Chief Minister, along with Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan, participated in the Van Mahotsav programme organized on the occasion of World Environment Day at Ananthavaram village near here and planted saplings.
