Kakinada, April 15 -- Some unidentified miscreants desecrated the statue of Ambedkar in Sankhavaram village in Prathipadu constituency .
Some unidentified miscreants garlanded the statue with chappals last night, and the incident was noticed by the locals this morning.
After the incident, members of the Dalit associations staged a dharna in front of the statue, demanding action against the miscreants responsible for the heinous crime.
The Annavaram police rushed to the spot and pacified the agitators by assuring them of nabbing the culprits soon.
Later, the Peddapuram sub-divisional office released a video showing a miscreant garlanding the statue under the cover of darkness. The authorities announced a reward
