Anantapur, Nov. 25 -- The police have busted a seven member drug peddlers gang and seized 4.5 kg of ganja following a raid in Anantapur rural mandal, an official said on Tuesday.

Urban DSP Srinivasa Rao told the media here that on a tip off, a police team led by G Rajendranath Yadav conducted a raid on Monday night. Apart from ganja, eight mobile phones and a motorcycle were seized.

One of the arrested, Manoj Kumar purchased 10 kg of ganja in Tuni in Kakinada district and brought it to Anantapur. They sold 4 kg of ganja to a person from Bagepalli in Karnataka and 1.5 kg to the locals. When they were selling the remaining stock, the police arrested them.
