Vijayawada, March 25 -- In a ground-breaking achievement, the Vijayawada Division of South-Central Railway in collaboration with the Projects Organization Unit of Vijayawada, has successfully commissioned 206.29 Route Kilometres (RKm) of Automatic Block Signalling (ABS) during the financial year 2024-25. This milestone cements the Vijayawada Division's reputation as a pioneer in implementing Automatic Block Signalling systems. On the evening of March 23, ABS was successfully commissioned across 29.67 RKm between key sections of Samalkot, Pithapuram, Gollaprolu, and Ravikampadu, completing the Division's total ABS commissioning to 206.29 RKm for the fiscal year.
