Kurnool, Oct. 24 -- In a ghastly road accident, 19 bus passengers and a motorcyclist were charred alive when a Bangalore-bound private bus caught fire after hitting a motorcycle in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh in the wee hours on Friday.
According to DIG Koya Praveen, the ill-fated bus, belonging to Vemuri Kaveri Travels, burst into flames after colliding with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. The bike got stuck under the bus, rupturing its fuel tank. The petrol spilling from the tank of the bike resulted in the bus erupting in a ball of fire.
