Vijayawada, March 25 -- A special session of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly is scheduled to be held on March 28 with the main agenda of passing a resolution declaring Amaravati as the capital city of Andhra Pradesh.

Official sources said that the special session of AP Assembly is being convened after receiving a communique from the Central government. A notification in this regard will be issued today.

The AP State Cabinet meeting is being held on March 26 to approve the convening of a special session to pass a resolution to legally make Amaravati as capital city of Andhra Pradesh.
