Vijayawada, Feb. 15 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Agriculture K Atchannaidu presented the Agriculture and Allied Sectors Budget for 2026-2027 in the Legislative Assembly, for the third time, on Saturday with a total outlay of Rs 53,752.12 crore.
The Agriculture Minister allocated Rs 14,277.89 crore for the maintenance and construction of irrigation projects and Rs 13,722 crore for electricity subsidy for the farmers.
Atchannaidu said that agriculture contributed Rs 57,406 crore to Andhra Pradesh's Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) in 2025-26 (First Advance Estimates at current prices), registering a growth rate of 3.91 percent.
