Vijayawada, Jan. 2 -- In a decisive move to protect the households, farmers and businesses from a steep electricity tariff hike, the Andhra Pradesh Government has stepped in to absorb the accumulated power true-up liabilities arising from the previous regime, a release stated on Friday.
The Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC), through its order completed the truing-up of the Retail Supply Business (RSB) for the Fourth Control Period (FY 2019-20 to FY 2023-24). These liabilities pertain to the previous "Jagan Mohan Reddy era", during which costs were deferred and passed on as future true-up claims.
