Vijayawada, March 30 -- On the occasion of Telugu New Year Ugadi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday gave consent to the release of Rs 38 crore benefitting 3,456 people from the poorer sections of society.

A release from the CM's Office said Naidu cleared the file related to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) to come to the rescue of these people from poor families who are facing financial constraints after undergoing medical treatment.

Since the Naidu Government came to power, Rs 281.38 cr has been released to benefit 23,418 people under CMRF. UNI DP SSP
